A new monkey has been discovered in the Amazon rainforests of Brazil. First seen by scientists in 2007, the discovery of Mura’s saddleback tamarin was announced last week by the Wildlife Conservation Society this week. Unfortunately, the monkey is threatened by several planned development projects in the region where it was discovered. For more information on the discovery, see the WCS website.
