Questions About Teacher Evaluations?

teachingKAMS has received several questions about teacher evaluations.  Many students from smaller schools may have the same teacher for all their math or science courses.  If you are unable to provide recommendations from two science teachers and two mathematics teachers due to the fact that your school simply does not have multiple teachers in those subjects, you should provide a recommendation from a teacher in another subject.

For example, if you have one math teacher, you could provide one math teacher evaluation, two science teacher evaluations, one english teacher evaluation, and one history teacher evaluation.

If you are unable to provide recommendations from two mathematics and two science teachers, you should provide KAMS with letters of recommendation from five different teachers.  This will enable KAMS to have multiple perspectives on your academic abilities.

Also, remember to provide each of your teachers with adequate time to complete your recommendation and return it to KAMS by the postmark deadline of January 20th.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call KAMS at 785-628-4690 or email us at kams@fhsu.edu.

Good luck on your applications!
