Throw a Couple of Ice Cubes on the Fire?

IceGovernment researchers are reporting that “gas hydrates,” a frozen form of natural gas that will burn when touched by a flame, shows promise of being an abundant, clean form of energy.  Found beneath the ocean floor and arctic permafrost, these fuels could help us as we move to non-traditional energy sources.  Scientists have known about gas hydrates for decades, but have only recently begun to work with them as an alternative energy source.  For more information, see here.
