Cats Can Control Humans?!?
A new study by British researchers finds that when cats are angling for a meal they produce a blend of purring and crying that humans find impossible to ignore. This sound is dubbed a “solicitation purr” by the study’s lead author Karen McComb. This purr is very different from the low-pitched purr that cats produce when they’re happy. The solicitation purr instead incorporates a high-pitched “cry” similar to a human baby’s. For more information on the study, see National Geographic.
