The longest solar eclipse of the century will happen tomorrow.  Lasting up to 6.5 minutes in some places, the total eclipse will happen in some of the most populated areas of the world including:  India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, China, Japan, and then the Pacific Ocean.  Some of the best viewing will be in China where Shanghai will experience approximately 5 minutes of the eclipse.  Scientists are hoping that the extreme length of the eclipse will enable them to discover more information about solar flares and other sun structures.  For more information on the eclipse, see National Geographic.
