The Super Dual Auroral Radar Network (SuperDARN) facility in Ellis County is quickly progressing and will soon be turned on by Virginia Tech for calibration.  The SuperDARN facility is part of an international radar network used to study the ionosphere.  The Ellis County SuperDARN will take readings over Canada.  For more on the facility here in Ellis County, see the Hays Daily News or check out the Virginia Tech SuperDARN website for more information about SuperDARN.
