The private spaceship, VSS Enterprise, made its first manned test flight on-board the mothership WhiteKnightTwo
The Virgin Galactic suborbital spaceliner SpaceShipTwo makes its first crewed flight on July 15, 2010 over the Mojave Desert in California, one of a series of test flights before the first flight of the passenger ship for space tourism flights.
The VSS Enterprise is designed to carry eight people, 6 passengers and 2 crew members on a suborbital flight. While not designed to reach orbit, the spaceship will reach suborbit for a few minutes, allowing the passengers a view of the blackness of space and of glowing earth.
